A defender and an attacking midfielder. These appear to be Ruben Amorim’s final two requests for the transfer market as he continues to shape his new Milan side. Gonçalo Inácio and Pedro Gonçalves are the names mentioned by today’s edition of Tuttosport, with both players sharing the same club: Sporting.

Gonçalo Inácio the preferred defensive target:
The dream signing in defence remains the 2001-born centre-back. Inácio is one of Amorim’s favourites, but the main obstacle is Sporting. The Portuguese club have already sold several key players in the latest transfer window, with Hjulmand, Trincão, Diomande and Quenda all leaving Lisbon. There is therefore neither a need nor an intention to sell again, as doing so would be a major blow in the eyes of the supporters.
Pedro Gonçalves an option for attacking midfield, Soulé in the background:
A similar situation applies to Pedro Gonçalves, the attacking midfielder who has already been linked with Milan in recent weeks. One alternative is Roma’s Matias Soulé, although that possibility has cooled in recent days. Nevertheless, he remains a name to keep in mind as a potential late-window opportunity.
