At the pre-match press conference ahead of Como - RB Leipzig, former Rossoneri player and current Leipzig player Nkunku spoke again about his time at Milan. Here is what he had to say:
"When I went to Chelsea, things started well and then I suffered an injury at the end of the final friendly. After that, everything changed. I had my first operation, I wanted to get back on the pitch quickly, and there were also a lot of changes. I didn’t like my role at Chelsea. At Milan, on the other hand, I didn’t have any injuries, but their approach to football was different from mine. So, as soon as I had the opportunity to come back here and play my football, I took it.”
Nkunku on AC Milan's decision:
"It is a choice that must be respected, but I still don’t understand it. I don’t know why they behaved that way. I was surprised. In any case, I wish them a good season.”
