RB Leipzig beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-0 this afternoon on the opening matchday of the Bundesliga, picking up their first three points of the season. The home fans welcomed Christopher Nkunku back onto the pitch after his arrival from AC Milan a few days ago.
The Frenchman came on in the 64th minute and immediately made his mark, providing an assist for Reitz to make it 3-0 and seal the final score. These were Nkunku’s first glimpses in a Leipzig shirt, with the German club able to decide at the end of the season whether to make his move permanent for a fee of just under €30 million.
