A new chapter begins for Portuguese football as Jorge Jesus takes the reins as the national team’s new head coach. The manager may have changed, but the substance remains the same: Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be called up. Among those selected for the upcoming Nations League fixtures is Milan striker Gonçalo Ramos. Former Rossoneri player Rafael Leao, who now plays for Galatasaray, has also been included.
Portugal will have four official fixtures in the new competition: at home against Wales on 24 September, followed by two away matches on 27 September and 1 October against Norway and Denmark, respectively, and finally a home game against Norway on 4 October.
