Yesterday morning’s behind-closed-doors training match at Milanello between Milan and Padova ended in a 1–1 draw.
Amorim had his team work with the same system seen against Lecce: a 4-2-3-1 that turns into a 4-3-3 in possession, while taking on more of a 4-4-2 shape out of possession.

Ossola scored Milan’s goal, assisted by Loftus-Cheek.
It was interesting to note how Amorim (even taking into account the players he had available) wanted to maintain continuity in the work aimed at making the whole team more fluid in adapting to different tactical systems.
On the right side of defence, for example, Fikayo Tomori was used there consistently and could potentially find his role in that position.
There were also encouraging signs from Matteo Gabbia, who has recovered from the inflammation in his ankle, as well as from Christian Comotto, who operated in the deep-lying playmaker role.
Omari Hutchinson was very lively, combining well technically with Christian Pulisic, who was denied several times by Padova goalkeeper Sorrentino, as relayed via Tuttosport in today's print edition.
The AC Milan squad will now have two days off.
Saelemaekers is continuing to work separately as he looks to recover from the ankle sprain he suffered at the beginning of the week. His aim is to be available for Sunday’s match against Sassuolo in Reggio Emilia.
