Alexandre Pato, the former striker who represented AC Milan from 2007 to 2013, reflected on his experience with the Rossoneri during his appearance at the Festival dello Sport in Trento.
On his goal against Barcelona after just a few seconds: “It was a great feeling. It was wonderful because everyone remembers that goal. It was truly special. I’ll show it to my son every day before he goes to school (laughs, ed.).”
On joining Milan:
“When Milan made me an offer, I had other offers too, but I wanted Milan because there were so many Brazilians there, including Ronaldo. I used to play with Milan on PlayStation all the time, so my dream had come true. The Brazilians helped me a lot, and I spent a lot of time with them. I always wanted to become like Ronaldo, and at Milan I had the chance to play alongside him.”
On Ancelotti, Pato said:
"He was always there for me, and we are still in touch. He helped me a lot. One of the kindest gestures I experienced during my career was when he took me by the hand and introduced me to the rest of the team. He taught me so much. Now I hope he can do well as Brazil’s national team coach too.”
