Fabrizio Biasin, a journalist, spoke as follows on 'Cronache di Spogliatoio' about Adrien Rabiot, the French midfielder at Milan:
“I think he has also taken a huge step forward. When he arrived in Italy, we all remember that clip of Allegri welcoming him by calling him a ‘vagabond’ in a friendly way, because, in fact, he had always been a player who was a bit of a loner: someone who looked for his place in the team and made himself available, but who rarely put down roots or took centre stage in terms of personality.
Instead, it seems to me that today, Rabiot has made a huge leap towards leadership. His statements the other day after a victory, quite different, for example, from Bremer’s after a defeat, were the words of a player who, instead of pampering the group or praising himself after an 8/10 performance, leaves the pitch and immediately hammers home the things that did not go well: ‘We cannot afford those final 20 minutes, that is not good enough, we have to do more.’
Well, in my opinion, this is the right attitude: that of someone who gives people a hard time in the moment of victory and says, ‘Today we won, all right, but those final 20 minutes are unacceptable.’ It is an excellent attitude for a footballer who plays brilliantly on the pitch and, at the same time, takes the team on his shoulders off it as well.”
