Strahinja Pavlovic, AC Milan defender, was interviewed by Sky Sport at the end of Bournemouth-Milan, a match valid for the third matchday of the Europa League League Phase, which ended 3-0 in favour of the home side.
How do you comment on this match?
“I think the start of the match did not go well, we made too many mistakes in the first half and... well, there is not much to say. Conceding two penalties and finding ourselves with one man fewer makes everything incredibly difficult. Now, we have to forget this match and be ready for the next one.”
What did Maignan tell you?
“Yes... He simply told us to stay calm, and that was it. These are things that can happen, it is part of the game.”
You left yourselves too open for the free-kick that made it 3-0... Pavlovic answered:
“Yes, well, it is our mistake, there is not much to say. It is ugly to see. At the time, I thought the ball was a little higher, but looking at it again now, it is clear that it was a positioning mistake by the wall.”
Does this match change your immediate future?
“I said it before as well: we will play more than fifty or sixty matches this year, and this is just one of them. Of course, it hurts, but now we have to reset and concentrate exclusively on the next one, because other important commitments await us in the coming days. We are on the right track and, yes, we absolutely have to forget tonight's match.”
