The AC Milan head coach, Ruben Amorim, spoke to the media in a press conference after seeing his team lose 3-0 against Bournemouth at the Vitality stadium.
Question: what is your explanation for such a performance?
“It is difficult to talk about the performance. There was no match after 20 minutes. Today was not a match. We tried to defend and we tried to attack, even with 10 against 11, but the penalty killed the match. It was difficult today.”
How do you explain such a passive approach?
“We lost possession, the match lasted 20 minutes. We killed the match ourselves and we were not able to get back into it.”
Football has changed, Bournemouth dominated Milan...
“Are we talking about the fact that Bournemouth dominated after the sending-off? I don't know how to talk about the match from the 20th minute onwards. Football is like that. We have to think about the next match.”
Have you spoken to Maignan after the sending-off?
“I am not talking to the players now. I will use every aspect of the match to improve. We will play in two days, we have to think about what to improve. We also have to think about staying with 11 players on the pitch.”
