Tonali’s affection for Milan remains strong, even after years and kilometres apart. Speaking to Sky, the Brescia-born midfielder reflected on the first part of his adventure at Tottenham, without forgetting the Rossoneri colours to which he has always been attached:
“Milan will always be my favourite team, regardless of how much time passes. Even after twenty years’ time, I will continue to follow them whenever my commitments allow me to, because this feeling will never change.”
Tonali also looked back at last Monday, when Tottenham secured their first win of the season at home against Coventry:
“Monday was, in a way, the end of this first part of the season. We are constantly improving, and we must not dwell on our start but instead take the positives. The performances have been excellent, everyone cares about the manager, who is suffering more than anyone else here at Tottenham. We know we have to give a lot to him because we have not achieved anything yet. Since last week, we have become much more of a team, and we must not stop now. We will now play away from home in a tough match, and we need to stay positive and play our football.”
