Ruben Amorim, AC Milan's head coach, spoke to Milan TV after the derby victory and dominant performance against Inter, which ended with a score of 3-1.
Here are his words:
"Not only was our reaction incredible, but the reaction of the crowd was incredible too. I did not expect this atmosphere. I expected something great, but not to this extent. I think we started really well, that we prepared for the match extremely well and that we were all focused within the team: I also said that in the press conference."
Amorim added:
"I felt that after Bologna, everyone was very angry and disappointed, as was right. But in the following days, while we were preparing for the match, I sensed that they were really focused on the task and, as for the rest, they have the talent and are capable of winning any match. From the first minute, I was very calm because I felt that the team was there. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but for me it was a calm match because I felt that the team was ready to fight. They only needed to be really focused on every single detail. They just need to be humble and everything will be fine, because I will always protect them if they are like that. So I am really happy for everyone, but now let's focus on the next one. Let's celebrate today, but then our minds must be on the next match."
