Gonçalo Ramos is somewhat of an unknown quantity in AC Milan's start to the season. Arriving amid plenty of fanfare and expectations, the Portuguese centre-forward has so far scored just 3 goals in all competitions, while also missing a penalty and several goalscoring opportunities.
Having been signed for a fee that makes him the most expensive player in the club's history, expectations are obviously higher for someone accustomed to winning and scoring goals, including in important matches.
Regarding this, the Italian newspaper 'Tuttosport' ran the following headline:
"Ramos continues to disappoint"
In fact, the Portuguese forward's work rate, willingness to sacrifice himself for the team and ability to cover a lot of ground are appreciated. These qualities, however, are not enough for the Rossoneri. The former Paris Saint-Germain striker needs to provide answers on the pitch, and there is only one way to do that: by scoring goals.
