As the pages of La Nanzione wrote today, Dusan Vlahovic and his agent have mostly come to terms with Fiorentina over a renewal, except for the proposed release clause. Las Violas and new manager Gennaro Gattuso are looking to lock up the young star on a new deal. No formal agreements have been made between the player and club thus far, but it has been reported that there is mutual agreement on a salary of 3.5 million, plus bonuses, and a duration extending until 2025. The only point of disagreement right now is on the release clause. The club looks to demand 80 million, while the player and agent look for a figure closer to 50 million, to keep interested clubs available to offer.
Vlahovic has been on Milan's radar for a few months now. The Rossoneri are looking for a striker that can play with Ibra, and eventually be heir to the throne. The 21-year-old fits the mold perfectly, but it appears Fiorentina are doing everything in their power to keep their player for years to come. Vlahovic is coming off of a great year for Las Violas, and was just announced as the Serie A U23 MVP of the season, so Fiorentina will not be ready to part ways with the player for free.
If the player does choose to renew this summer, the release clause will be an interesting announcement, and management at Casa Milan will be sure to keep tabs on the situation.
