Management in Milan has made it an emphasis this summer to sign another rotational player to the midfield, and Maldini and Massara have identified Boubacar Kamara out of France. The midfielder plays for club Marseille, and is comfortable playing in a holding midfield position. As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, the profile is one of the first names on Maldini's list in the transfer market.
Kamara appeared in 35 league matches this season for the club, with two assists to his name. Maldini is in the market for a young and talented player that already has a good deal of experience under his belt. The 21-year-old has over 100 appearances for his club, and fits the description that Maldini is after.
Milan look to add depth to the midfield as they will be without their two starers Kessie and Bennacer during the month of January- due to international obligations. With only Pobega officially on the roster as of now in that position, as Tonali is still pending, reinforcements will be needed to the midfield.
Kamara has been followed by Maldini for some time now. The price tag for the player has certainly not decreased since the Frenchman first caught Paolo's eye, and the club are looking to gain at least 30 million euros for their player. For this reason, Milan will certainly look for a loan option, or an opportunity to defer the payments over a few years. With other areas to reinforce, Milan are not in a financial position to spend 30 million for a player that will be predominately featured off the bench. Details and strategies are still to be defined, but Milan will have an eye on the youngster this summer.
