In an exclusive interview given to Milannews.it, Gianluca Magro, journalist working at Giornale di Brescia, has provided the latest news on the negotiations between the Rossoneri and the Biancazzurri for the redemption of Sandro Tonali. Here are his statements:
"Since Cellino has been around, whoever was the sporting director has always taken a back seat. Many times he has managed the negotiations with Maldini, also for a matter of relationships built over the years. I now believe that Cellino has entered into the perspective of famous discount. The discount provided that Milan could revise the figures, and when it arrived in mid-June, both Milan and Cellino understood that perhaps it was better to start from scratch, also considering that Milan, perhaps, were the only interlocutor of Brescia and because he knew what Tonali's will was. Cellino still managed to get Olzer's card, which he considers interesting, and he will not give up on Colombo. I imagine and believe that there was also a bit of his will to ask Tonali for a discount. Compared to last year's figures, Brescia fell by at least 50% less. We are not talking about more than 25 million, but 15. It is to be understood whether Olzer's card is to be included in this figure. I believe that by now the agreement has been found, but when Bozzo's okay for the reduction of Tonali's salary arrives, the definitive agreement will be reached. On Monday, Brescia will start with the medical visits, so I guess they don't intend to have Sandro carrying out the visits, so as to do them directly with Milan. Unless there are hitches in the next 48 hours, I would be surprised if I see Tonali making the visits with Brescia" .
