AC Milan, after the last season's end, started negotiating with Brescia in order to modify the buy-option terms for Sandro Tonali's card because they were a little too high for the club's liking.
The negotiations, carried out by Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara were successful. Milan will pay less than initially agreed.
But, Paolo Maldini wanted to save more money, but this time by asking Sandro Tonali to accept a salary cut from the wages he earned at the San Siro in the last season. The young Italian midfielder accepted the proposal so he can remain with the club.
It seems that the deal is basically done. Now, the daily Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport writes that the deal will be closed and concluded today. Tonali will officially return to Milanello.
The goal, adds the source, is to have the central midfielder before Thursday's meeting at Milanello sports centre.
