Italian technician of AC Milan, Stefano Pioli will have a different pre-season compared to the one made for the previous campaign.
Tuttosport explains that, last season, Milan had to prepare and start the their campaign early due to Europa League qualification matches. Now, more time is given to the team and there is more awareness of the qualities of the squad overall.
For Stefano Pioli, despite having to cope without two starters such as Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, there are still many good points of references and talents. In fact, the team has grown more mature now and the players are more confident about their skills and abilities.
The players are now mature and can continue with the same coach who launched them. In fact, Inter, Juventus, Roma, Lazio, and Napoli will all have to start over with new coaches while Pioli will keep going with his usual winning formation, the 4-2-3-1.
However, this does not mean that the team is complete. Milan, today, lacks two fullbacks and at least one more midfielder with Tonali, a right-winger, a playmaker and an alternative to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The transfer market is still long and the basis for a great team is there, but the Rossoneri managers will have to accelerate and pick up the pace in the coming weeks, concludes the newspaper.
