The FIGC, governing body of the Italian football, announced today they have fined AC Milan and Ivan Gazidis, CEO of the club.
According to the Federal Prosecutor, the club, and Gazidis, failed to comply the article 32, item 5 of the FIGC’s Legal Sports code by not taking part of their U19 competition (Primavera), which was one of the requirements to play in Serie A last season.
The club have been fined €30.000 and the CEO Ivan Gazidis, a €5.000 fine.
Those fines and some transfer market moves by the club, bringing in youngsters like Giorgia Miotto, Merle Luise Kirschstein and Serena Cortesi, indicate that Milan are moving toward building a strong Primavera squad already this season.
