AC Milan are still looking for a quality replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu. The club is looking for an upgrade with good qualities, as reported in today's edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The favourites to take over the spot vacated by the Turkish attacking midfielder, who moved to city rivals, are: Marcel Sabitzer of RB Leipzig, Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea, and CSKA Moscow's Nikola Vlasic.
Technical director Paolo Maldini is very interested in the Croatian player, Vlasic, and has made contacts with his representatives. However, there is an obstacle. CSKA Moscow asks for a fee of 30 million euros which is way too much for the club's standards in this transfer window.
On the other hand, Milan would like to set up an operation for a paid loan with the option to buy.
