Matchday 18 as Milan travel to Sardinia to face Cagliari. Milan once again set off a quest with all odds against them. Stefano Pioli will have to tinker and rotate his squad which is still not at its best. As of now, Rafael Leao is suspended from the game. Rade Krunic, Ante Rebic, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Theo Hernandez are all out of the team due to positive cases of COVID-19. On the injury list there are Ismail Bennacer and Matteo Gabbia. Alexis Saelemakers should be traveling with the squad and could make an appearance off the bench.

In this difficult time for players, staff, and especially Stefano Pioli has to expand his horizon of his players at his disposal. Some primavera players could feature as Emil Roback, Enrico Di Gesu, and Nikolaos Michelis could be used as reinforcements. Here is how the Rossoneri's lineup could appear:

Milan: 4-2-3-1: G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Dalot; Kessie, Tonali; Castilejo, Diaz, Hauge; Ibrahimovic

Despite the adversity that lies ahead, the Rossoneri have had the upper hand in the last two meetings against Cagliari winning 2-0 in the first fixture which was Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first fixture since returning to Milan after departing for Paris Saint Germain. And then once again beating them 3-0 on the final fixture of last season. With that being said Milan should be heading into this fixture confident, Zlatan Ibrahimovich will be leading the line he will be able to give his teammates a boost with his fierce leadership abilities. Tonali will be looking to add on off his impressive performance against Torino in the Coppa Italia. Stefano Pioli and his side will be ready to fight until the end to produce a victory.
