The move is finally official, Tiémoué Bakayoko is back to Milanello after a good loan spell with the Rossoneri in the 2018/2019 season. The French midfielder released these words to Milan TV:

"I'm very happy to be here. I have so many great memories (here). I didn't start well, but at the end, all the club, staff, and fans gave me a lot of love. That is why I always thought that I was going to be back here one day. It was my dream."

Bakayoko continued:

"It is good to see some friends in the team. I know all the French players here. When I was going back here, I talked with them."

On Franck Kessié:

"I have a great relationship with Kessié. I am not surprised of his growth because he is a really good guy, a good player. When I played with him, I could see that he was very good."

On the overall level of the Serie A league:

"The level is much better every year. I feel really good here. I know how to play here and happy to be here."

On playing against Milan with Napoli:

"When I faced Milan, I was just focused on my team. I wanted to beat Milan, of course. But, it didn't end well because I was shown a red card (smiles). It was a good feeling to see some friendly faces. I was happy."

On the Champions League:

"When I was with Milan, there was a difference of just one point to reach the Champions League. I was really devastated at the end of the season. But, I am happy to be back here and play this competition."

On the derby:

"I want to play and win the derby, because I did not win it before. It is the most important game. I really want to win it."

On the AC Milan club:

"The first word that comes to my mind is 'big'. Milan is everywhere. The stadium, team, history, trophies. Now, I'm back and I'm here to help the team and to enjoy everything together."
