Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic spoke at a press conference about the decision not to select Ante Rebic for the national team squad list. Here are the words of the coach of the Croatian national team:
"I have never closed the door on anyone, the field is the only yardstick. Rebic is not an argument right now. I am especially happy with the return of Modric, as a player and as a leader he is a presence of inestimable value for us."
The decision is seen as a strange one, especially given Rebic's performances in the start of the season so far.
In fact, the player who turned 28 today, has already scored 2 goals and contributed with 2 assists in 5 matches this season.
