Legendary former right-back of AC Milan, Cafu, spoke to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport about the Rossoneri's season and the race for the Scudetto.
"If we consider where he started from, with which elements and with which opponents, we must necessarily argue that this would be the best Scudetto for Milan. It would be a success built over time, day after day, training session after the other", said the retired Brazilian footballer.
On Stefano Pioli:
"He was able to work on the group, on the players, he led them to improve their performance and he hid some inevitable gaps with enthusiasm. He was a bit of a psychologist, a bit of a family man, but above all he proved to be a great coach, which is why he deserves to be among the winning coaches on the bench of this great club."
Cafu continued:
"When I watch a Milan match, I feel cheerful, I enjoy it: they attack, they fight, they never give up. They are a beautiful team to look at, with many attacking solutions and a full-back, Theo Hernandez, who pushes a lot from his side. But do you realize the miracle they are doing? They put themselves behind the reigning champion Inter, Napoli, Juventus, Roma… This success, hoping it will arrive, would be a masterpiece, I can't find other words."
