AC Milan participated in the Champions League competition this year after a very long absence. The Rossoneri were put in a tough group with Liverpool, who lost the final yesterday against Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Portuguese heavyweights Porto. Stefano Pioli's team, unfortunately, could not pass to the next round as only 4 points were collected in that European adventure.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio on his website, the four Italian clubs which participated in this year's Champions League obtained earnings in relation to four parameters: participation bonus; bonuses linked to results; historical ranking; market pool, the share attributed to each federation on the basis of its television rights.
In this context, AC Milan have been able to receive in total almost 47 million euros. As for the rivals, the Nerazzurri, they collected around 64.7 million euros. Juventus, on the other hand were granted 79 million while Atalanta's revenue is 34 million euros.
