AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni spoke to the microphones of Radio Rai today about the renewals of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara as well as other important topics. Here are his words:
"Maldini and Massara's contracts? The change of ownership has created complexities that weren't there and delayed many things, but the relationships are excellent. I don't worry much about the Maldini and Massara issue, in the sense that I don't have the slightest doubt that an agreement will be reached for this duo that has been so important in making us win the Scudetto."
On the Champions League:
"The dream is doing well. Last year, we were eliminated in the groups and this year we set ourselves the goal of do better and bring Milan back to compete, as they have done so much in the past."
On the season:
"I have budgeted finishing fourth in the league. Winning the Scudetto was an incredible emotion for everyone."
Paolo Scaroni on Gerry Cardinale:
"He has an impressive resume. Very nice person, agreeable and super expert in sports who knows how to treat like few others and who sets himself ambitious goals, the impression is excellent."

On having many opportunities in the transfer market window:
"I don't know, we certainly lose a lot of chatter. I don't see dozens of transactions already concluded, they are only dozens of hypotheses. We are more reserved than others and I do not have the impression that we are losing mercato operations."
On Leao being untouchable:
" I never talk about these issues, I don't want to make invasions with Maldini. Leao is a precious part of Milan. But we have shown that we know how to make incredible substitutions. I think of Kjaer's injury and Kalulu's entry: we are happy to have discovered a talent. Psg on Scamacca and Renato Sanches? The rules of financial fair play must apply to everyone, there is nothing worse than unfair rulings."
On Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku being close to Inter:
" I try not to worry about things that have not happened, for now they all seem like hypotheses, but then I look to our club. We are used to facing competitive opponents", declared Scaroni.
