AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are yet to renew their contracts. Sky Sport Italia's correspondent Luca Marchetti took stock of the situation and said the following words:
"The biggest news may come from a contract that has not yet been signed. Not even today. June 30 - today - is technically the last day of the two managers' contracts. The situation is peculiar, to say the least. In memory we do not recall such a situation, especially at a big club. Permanence, at least from what has filtered through, is not in question, but the timing - at the very least - leaves something in question. As a matter of image. Is it ever possible that a club as important as Milan and fresh Italian champions has no clear line on the way forward at the managerial level? It should be the first piece, the first choice to be made. And that has not been the case yet... Milan's image is at stake, not only the professionalism of Maldini and Massara. Nevertheless, we expect the signing to come. Then maybe there will be a way to understand the reasons of this delay."
