AC Milan are working to sign Hakim Ziyech as he would be a great reinforcement on the right and also as a playmaker in the squad of coach Stefano Pioli.
According to what is reported by The Athletic, the Rossoneri directors are currently discussing a loan deal with Chelsea. The 29-year-old Morocco international is the target for the management as they look to build on the success of last season when they won the 19th scudetto.
According to the same source, Milan decided to strengthen the offensive department after finishing the season with the best defence in the league (31 goals conceded) which is why pursuing Sven Botman made less and less sense to Milan’s recruitment department. Adding more incision and inventiveness in the final third is a priority as Milan were only the fourth most prolific side in Italy last season.
In addition to that, Charles De Ketelaere is also a target for AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. Loaning Ziyech is not an either/or situation. Milan and Chelsea have done a lot of business together in recent years (see Fikayo Tomori, Olivier Giroud and Tiémoué Bakayoko).
