As reported today already by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are not too far from finding the agreement for the contract renewal of Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer. The player made 40 appearances last season and contributed to the offensive phase with 2 goals and one assist in the Serie A competition. He played a total of 2100 minutes. The former Empoli and Arsenal talent's contract runs out in June 2024.

According to the latest news reported by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter, AC Milan seem to be ready to extend the contract of the Algerian star with advanced talks being in progress since the winter.
In fact, Ismael Bennacer's agent is in Milano currently to try to complete the deal with an increase in salary (to reach 3.2 million euros net per season). The Rossoneri management, for their part, intend to remove the current release clause which is set at 50 million euros.
