Tiémoué Bakayoko was stopped and searched by police officers recently and the video went viral on the internet. The AC Milan defensive midfielder has now spoken about the video and had this to say:
"Hello everyone, I hope everything goes well. I record a small video about recent events and the video you could see on social media that saw me being the subject of a check, an arrest. The Milan authorities recently communicated that it was a mistake by the policemen who realized on the spot. The error itself does not pose problems for me, but the manner does. Why not do a simple check by communicating? You don't see everything in the video found on social media, on the contrary I think it is the most "quiet" part of everything that has happened. I found myself with a gun pointed at one meter from me and the passenger. They clearly put us in danger regardless of the reasons that led to doing this. Error is human, but I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't had the opportunity to be recognized for the job I do."
Bakayoko added:
"There are questions to ask. It is not fair to put a person's life at risk and this is the point I want to make, despite the fact that I am told it was a mistake. The consequences could have been more serious. I would like to thank all the people who have sent me messages of support, I was really pleased. I wish you a good day wherever you are in the world."
