AC Milan want to add a midfielder in the last few days of the market to Stefano Pioli's squad. The name that is now heavily linked with a move to the red and black faithful is Jean Onana.
The player's agent, Igor Campedelli, has spoken to Calciomercato.it about the situation and said the following:
"Jean is a modern player, he has great physical strength, he is a dominant player especially in aerial duels and the coaches like him because he has a great leg. He can also score a few goals because he has a nose for it. He has great ability to cover wide spaces of the field."
He added:
"Ligue 1 is perhaps the most physically demanding championship and Jean has shown he can withstand this impact. The Italian championship would be a test of maturity from a technical tactical point of view, it would be an important step."
Jean Onana's agent, Igor Campedelli, continued:
"Competition? He (Jean Onana) has great mental strength should he arrive in a team of the same level as Milan or one similar to Milan. He would be able to fight to get the starting position, this is my expectation and curiosity, he is a guy who has earned everything he has, he has not played in top-level youth sectors or by going on loan to big teams.. If he is here today he has fought it all."
On the negotiations, Igor Capedelli said:
"Optimism for the negotiation is not up to us, it is the two clubs that must find an agreement and we just have to wait for this. Surely Jean is also fascinated by Serie A. He knows the teams well, the players, from this point of view, perhaps he is more prepared than me (laughs)."
