AC Milan head coach, Stefano Pioli, has granted an interview to the Rossoneri's club channel in the eve of Chelsea - Milan. Here are his words about tomorrow night's game:
"We want to be competitive, and to be competitive you have to face every single match to the best of your ability, trying to give your all. We know we are facing a big team in Europe who won the Champions League just over a year ago, but we we have our mentality and our way of being on the pitch."
Are Chelsea favourites?
"The predictions are made clearly on paper, then the field can determine other results. It is clear that the initial result of Dinamo Zagreb-Chelsea was not expected by many. It is equally clear that playing in the Champions League means you have to be high level throughout the game. Chelsea have changed their coach, we are facing a motivated and strong opponent."
Pioli on preparing his squad:
"It is clear that we have prepared well, we know the importance of the match. I don't think it's a decisive match, but I think the last two are. It will be an important match, we want to start writing our history in this very important competition."
On how he will face Chelsea tomorrow night:
"On a technical, tactical, and ball management level, there are two very simple situations: either we dominate the game or the opponents will dominate us. It is clear that we have the will to play the game even knowing that we are facing a team with great quality, with a strong attacking department, quick and technical."
Pioli concluded:
