Former legendary CEO of AC Milan, Adriano Galliani, who is currently at Monza, spoke to Milan TV in view of this evening's fixture. Here are his words:
"The first one I hugged was Pioli. It's not a football match for me today, it's my life flowing in front of me. As a child fan of Monza, from '71 to '75 I was Vice President, Berlusconi buys Milan in 86, 31 years at Milan, and then 4 more years at Monza. I was moved by embracing Maldini, it is not an emotion that can be explained in words. It's a dream come true, having taken Monza in 2017 in Serie D and playing at San Siro today is something fantastic."
Galliani on the Lombardy derby:
"The dimensions of Milan and Monza are different. We must try to work on this category which is too good, a category that we had never tried. Milan's ambitions are one thing, those of Monza are other. We still try to allow ourselves this level which is too good."
