Important updates arrive regarding the contractual situation of Portugal international Rafael Leao.
According to what is reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com, AC Milan are putting on the table 7 million euros. It is a significant amount of money, surely, as the player needs money to settle the Sporting issue - or at least shorten it - and Milan can thus protect themselves and not lose contractual strength towards those who ask for the Portuguese next June.
Sources at TMW claim that Leao is convinced that he should take the Rossoneri's offer. He wants to remain at Milan. For Jorge Mendes part, who is Leao father's consultant but no longer the player's agent, also wants to write a happy ending to this matter, and then turn his attention to him for the transfer in June. Within the agreement, however, there is no financial help for the legal dispute with Sporting: this will probably be included in the signing with the next club, in case of farewell.
As for Leao's lawyer, though, who is Ted Dimvula, there is still a tense relationship with Jorge Mendes. He will also ask for a commission from AC Milan for the renewal. The Rossoneri will have to pay both to finally see Leao with an agreement beyond June 2024. A question that will almost certainly be resolved in the coming days, albeit at a high price, concludes the report.
