After the Rossoneri's 1-0 win at San Siro last Wednesday thanks to a goal by the Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer, both AC Milan and Napoli drew their respective Serie A matches. Milan, revamped by head coach Stefano Pioli in terms of starting lineup, secured a point in a comeback against Bologna with Pobega's goal. Meanwhile, Napoli drew 0-0 against Hellas Verona at Maradona Stadium. Now, all eyes are on the quarter-final return leg between the two parties.
The biggest concern, however, is Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman had an Achilles tendon problem and did not finish a training session. Stefano Pioli, nonetheless, is confident in recovering him to start against Napoli. However, Ante Rebic or Divock Origi will be ready to replace him, with the Croatian forward leading the race.
Here is the probable AC Milan lineup against Napoli:
4-2-3-1: Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Krunic; Brahim Diaz, Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.
