Pioli: “We are aware of this bad performance. We will bounce back”

Coach Stefano Pioli had his say about the Rossoneri team's loss against Spezia at the Alberto Picco stadium. Here are his statements entrusted to the microphones of DAZN

"We must react well, and we will certainly do that. Spezia won fairly and this is our first deserved loss of the season. It happens, the typical day when sometimes nothing actually functions, Spezia punished us. We must move forward after this bad night."

"We are not a team capable of really winning ugly. We always try to remain focused and keep our intensity level and pace of the match, so if we lack those factors, we are not as effective."

"During this game, we struggled a lot. Nothing worked including my choices and my players' performances, of course. This is not Milan's way. We will prove it next week." 

"We are aware of how terrible this performance was. Anyone who watched us train at Milanello this week would not have expected such a surprising performance, and yet it happened. It was an off night for the whole team, we need to immediately bounce back."

"If we don’t move the ball around quickly enough, we allow our opponents to get back into shape and we become predictable. Nothing worked this evening on the ball or off it. It was a bad night tonight, it is right that we leave with our heads down. Tomorrow, however, we will get back to work hard."
