Diogo Dalot, 21 years old, was signed towards the end of the summer transfer market window on loan from Manchester United.
The young Portuguese full-back played so far in both flanks to replace Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria. At times, he did show glimpses of his potential and quality but he did not show continuity.
According to what is being reported by the daily newspaper of Tuttosport, Diogo Dalot is now actually in what one would call a "free fall".
At one time he was the "extra weapon" for coach Stefano Pioli's Rossoneri. However, on Saturday he did not convince against Spezia as he replaced the suspended Davide Calabria.
The newspaper concludes by claiming that this situation for the Rossoneri is very difficult. Now, the managers at Casa Milan reflect on whether or not to negotiate with Manchester United for a permanent signing of the Portuguese. The discussion, in particular, is about if the Red Devils management, led by Ed Woodward, would still be asking for a fee of 20 million euros or not.
