Paolo Scaroni, president of AC Milan, spoke to DAZN before the Milan - Lazio match.
Are you satisfied with the work done in this early part of the season?
"It seems to me that there is an atmosphere that I like, the classic Milan atmosphere. A climate of cohesion, even the new players have integrated well with the team. Of course, it's Pioli who sets the pace for everyone, I must say I am very pleased with what I have seen so far."
On being in profit after 17 years:
"This is something I care about a lot: not only do we have a positive result, which we will present at the shareholders' meeting next October, but we have achieved it ahead of the campaign. So it's an ordinary result, we managed to increase our revenues, keep costs under control, and we have a positive result for the first time. As someone who lived through the years when we were losing 150 million, this really makes me happy."
On the stadium, Scaroni said:
"We have taken steps forward, we have submitted the application for a variation to the municipality of San Donato. It seems to me that everything is progressing, although in this stadium matter, caution is never too much, even for me who has experienced many events. There is still a door open for San Siro, we do not consider it a completely closed chapter, but we are moving full speed ahead with San Donato."
Have the managerial changes been made with a focus on results? Scaroni declared:
"Changes are always positive in the end, we have new forces, new players. I believe that change is a positive thing. Of course, we should not forget the good things done by those who left us, I never forget this Scudetto: on my phone, I always have my photo with Maldini while cutting the cake. We are always grateful to them, but change is positive."
