Clarence Seedorf, a Milan legend, spoke on the Rossoneri club Twitch account during "AC Milan Talk" to discuss the derby. Here are some of the important statements:
"The Derby? These matters start from the heart, more than the mind. We must be using our position to have an impact on the others."
Do you follow Milan and Inter?
"I follow from distance. Both teams have had a really good year. Milan now has clarity at the level of club management which they have been missing for years."
A memory of the derby won 3-0 in 2010/11?
"The derby is so intense so many times that many things do not remain so clear in your head. You have some special segments left but you live that moment so intensely that not many memories remain. For example, I don't remember the first Champions League that I won with Ajax. The tension is so great that you don't have much left. It's like a fast film, you enjoyed it and it stays in your heart. They are special matches."
What do you think of Kessié?
"He is doing very well, I am pleased with his growth over the years. I do not know him personally but he seems to me like someone who has all of himself on the pitch. He has grown a lot since he joined Milan, and this year he has found his balance also thanks to an excellent coach. It is important for a talent to have a balance on and off the pitch."
On Ibrahimovic:
"I only have to congratulate Ibrahimovic. He has taken on a great responsibility. I see him grown up, thank goodness for that (laughs). I see him very mature and capable of making others grow too which is something I hoped that he could do. There is no need to talk about Ibra, one of the best talents of the last 20 years. I wish him to be able to play for many more years. He is an exemplary professional, I am not surprised by his impact on the team."
On the derby won as a coach:
"We hadn't won for a while (laughs). We did well, in that match we made changes to surprise their coach Mazzarri and have control in midfield. I'm happy to have experienced an important moment in the derby as a coach."
On Donnarumma:
"As for Ibra, what should I say? When there is talent then there are other aspects that start to count. His abilities are clear to everyone. Choices count, how you grow as a leader, and how you can carry the club higher. Milan must by force, by DNA, by history, aspire to the maximum. Today more than ever there is the possibility of being competitive, there are no excuses."
A memory of yours at Milanello?
"I cannot choose, 10 years is a long time. They have been years lived with the heart, I can only say that I have a house in Milanello. I lived a wonderful time, just one thing is impossible. and intense, I left good memories and friendships. When you leave and excellent relations with people remain, then it is a good thing. A hug to all the fans and Forza Milan!"
