The recent performances of the AC Milan captain have convinced Luciano Spalletti, who has decided to call up the 26-year-old player to reinforce the defensive area of the Italian National Team against North Macedonia and Ukraine; two crucial matches for the qualifications for the upcoming European Championship.
The number 2 for AC Milan has only made 7 appearances under the guidance of Roberto Mancini, and started only twice. In his position, there are also Napoli's Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Inter's Matteo Darmian.
Davide Calabria will be the only player from AC Milan in the Italy national team list.
