AC Milan's attack is struggling, especially at this current moment while Olivier Giroud, Noah Okafor and Rafael Leao are out with Luka Jovic failing to provide a goal or an assist so far. Pioli has been forced to rely on services of Francesco Camarda in the squad list who can make his debut tomorrow at the age of 15.

With Giroud at the age of 37, it is clear that a strong profile is needed to lead the attack in the near future and also in the long-term.

The oldest name in consideration, but one that is gradually losing traction, is Jonathan David, who hasn't had a good start to the season with Lille, but still commands a high price despite his contract running until 2025: we're still talking about 40 million euros, negotiable downwards due to his recent goal drought.

On the other hand, someone scoring at convincing rates is Akor Adams from Montpellier: second in the French top scorers' list behind only Mbappé with 7 goals, the Nigerian who came from Norway is gaining momentum, yet his price is soaring due to this.

Another surprise this season is Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart, who started strongly but was then slowed down by a minor injury; he seems to be in a standout season and has caught the attention of AC Milan. He has a release clause set at 17 million euros for January: it's the less expensive solution, but the risk is encountering a 'one-season wonder,' a player who performs well for a year and then fades into anonymity.

Then there's Santiago Gimenez, the Lazio slayer for a couple of seasons now in Europe and the Champions League, the striker for the Dutch champions Feyenoord, secured with a contract until 2027 and thus extremely expensive.

Finally, from the Netherlands but further back, there's Vangelis Pavlidis from AZ Alkmaar, who seemed on the brink of joining in the summer before Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, and Antonio D'Ottavio closed the deal for Okafor. Could the Swiss's injury lead to reopening negotiations?
