Rade Krunic is getting closer and closer to signing with Fenerbahce, according to the latest reports. The Turkish club pushed for his arrival during the last summer transfer market window. A move, however, was not possible then because Stefano Pioli valued him too highly.
It seems that the situation has changed now and Krunic is no longer untouchable for AC Milan management and coach Stefano Pioli, though. The gaffer himself commented on the Bosnian player's current situation and explained why he is no longer at the top of the picking order for him. He said these words in the latest press conference (read the full version here):
"It's a matter of fitness. He's experiencing a drop, you can't always play at 100%. At the moment, there are players who are in better shape."
Speaking of the midfield department, there has been a lot of talk about a potential new signing, even in January. According to some recent reports, it seems that the Rossoneri scouts have taken note of the abilities of Samuele Ricci who plies his trade for Serie A side Torino. A deal in the winter transfer window, however, would be difficult and it will take a lot of effort from the Rossoneri.
Ricci is 22-year-old Italian defensive midfielder. His contract with Torino runs until June 2026. He has played 12 matches so far and has two assists to his name.
