As reported this morning by Corriere della Sera, yesterday at Milanello there was a planned real test to assess Rafael Leao's physical condition.
At the Rossoneri sports center, a small match of about 40 minutes was organised exclusively for the number 10, allowing him to regain confidence on the field with a fairly continuous playing time.
Leao, in fact, played the entire match without any issues and, according to the Italian newspaper, he confided in some friends that he feels well and is ready to play. Indeed, playing will be Pioli's doubt until 9 PM the day after tomorrow.
Will Leao be immediately fielded as a starter or will the coach have him first on the bench?
The difference for the AC Milan team and coach is huge. Just as the impact this decision will have on the outcome and progress of the game is substantial: it has already been established how Milan with Leao is one thing and Milan without Leao is decidedly another.
To further settle the debate, the last two training sessions will contribute: today and tomorrow. On one hand, the match is crucial, and Leao needs to play, on the other, they want to avoid overexertion.
