As reported by Sky Sport Italia, which analysed the 29 injuries in AC Milan in 2023, a whopping 70% of these were of muscular origin. Specifically, 15 players suffered injuries, 5 were sidelined due to fatigue, 8 had to stop due to a traumatic problem, and finally, there was an injury caused by inflammation.
In terms of missed matches, the total is 89 missed games divided as follows: 62 missed due to injuries, 13 due to fatigue, 13 due to traumas, and one due to inflammation.
These numbers are very worrying for AC Milan, obviously. When the squad is full, they can dominate and provide important performances. Unfortunately, injuries started, and the peformances dropped significantly in terms of intensity, level, and consistency.
