KESSIÉ SAVES MILAN, BUT WITH MUCH EFFORT - Another unhappy evening for Milan. But fortunately, Pioli's team managed to qualify thanks to a penalty scored by Kessié. Milan started the match well, scoring at minute 9'. But after 15 minutes the Rossoneri suffered the style of the Red Star which was imposed throughout the first half. In fact, after ten minutes the guests equalized with a nice shot from El Fardou. Krunic and Leao are out of the game and are unable to score so Pioli after 45 minutes decides to replace them. In the second half not much changes: Milan wasted a few opportunities with Rebic, able to create opportunities for himself, but less able to find the goal. However, it is still the visiting team that becomes dangerous and controls the match. In the 70th minute, the Red Star plays with ten men after the expulsion of Gobeljic due a double yellow card. But Milan did not take advantage of it, on the contrary they risk conceding a goal. The Rossoneri score with Saelemakers after a good move with Ibrahimovic. However there was an offside position. The last few minutes saw the Rossoneri suffer again. The match ends 1 to 1 with Stankovic who becomes controversial for some referee decisions. Milan did not convince even today. Pioli will not spend a quiet night: on Sunday the Rossoneri will return to the field against Roma who today won easily 3 to 1 against Braga.

THE NEXT OPPONENTS - The Italian teams smile, except for Napoli which is eliminated. Milan in the round of 16 will be able to find a team between: Ajax, Arsenal, Molde, Granada, Rangers, Shakthar, Villareal, Dinamo Kiev, Dinamo Zagreb, Slavia Prague, Young Boys, Manchester United or Psv. Leicester and Leverkusen, two teams among the favorites, are eliminated in a sensational way by Slavia Prague and Young Boys.
