AC Milan's head coach, Stefano Pioli, spoke with the media in a press conference (read the full transcript here). He was asked about the transfer market and the fact that no defender was signed despite his need for one. Here are his words:
"I needed a player who is ready and also knew the league; then we'll think about next summer. Lenglet, Brassier? We evaluated all the opportunities and didn't find them up to what we needed, so we're focusing on (Jan-Carlo) Simic."
