During the event organized by AC Milan for the launch of the fourth jersey in collaboration with Puma and PLEASURES, the Rossoneri club's CEO, Giorgio Furlani, was present.
He spoke to the media outlets present in the event and said these words:
On Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
"As I have said many times, Ibra is a tremendous added value. He has been a champion on the field and he is, and will be, one off the field as well. We are fortunate, as Milan fans and as Milan executives, to have him as our partner."
On the San Donato stadium issue:
"We have this project in San Donato, and we are moving forward on our path. It's a lengthy process, of course, but we hope to have a new stadium as soon as possible, also dispelling the disadvantage of the fact that investing in infrastructure in Italy is complicated."
On Milan's performances, Furlani said:
"We've had a not-so-easy period and have also been unlucky with injuries, but now everyone is slowly returning. The recent matches have gone well. Now, fingers crossed, and we hope to finish the season well. Nonetheless, we go onto the field every match to win. The scores are settled at the end."
On Rafael Leao:
"All our players are appreciated. Rafa has been unlucky in front of goal. The goals will come."
On the last transfer market session:
"So, many of you ask me, but I've been telling you all of January that it's not necessarily the case that someone else will arrive. We're happy that Gabbia has returned. We have Kjaer, Simic, other players, and more are returning. We've always said we wouldn't buy just for the sake of it; the players are there, the emergency has passed. Buying just to buy would be to appease the fans but not a real necessity."
On rumours regarding the next Milan coach:
"I too am annoyed by the rumours about Milan's new coach in February. Pioli is our coach, the club stands with him, as Zlatan has also reiterated because these rumours are annoying and bothersome. We're grateful for what he has done so far, and for now, we're fortunate to have him with us."
Olivier Giroud's contract expires at the end of the season... Furlani responded:
"Olivier is a great champion. He came with a two-year contract that has gone so well that we decided to continue, and this year he's doing even better."
On Joshua Zirkzee:
"He did well against us in this championship, but he's a player from another team, and it's too early to talk about him."
Could market strategies change in the summer considering the new Champions League? Furlani said:
"Absolutely not. When we get to January next year, we will evaluate how to proceed."
On the match against Napoli:
"We are in form, our boys like to decide games at the last minute, and maybe even against Napoli, it could end like that."
On Luka Jovic's performance:
"I'm not at all surprised by Jovic. I was sure he would do so."
