Ruben Loftus-Cheek, interviewed by Uefa.com, had these statements to say about his choice to join AC Milan in the summer:
"The opportunity came and I think it was a great chance to seize. I spoke with Mister Pioli before coming to Milan and he explained to me how he likes to play, what the ambitions are for the season, and how I could be useful to the team. It was a conversation I really enjoyed, and I was very excited. The club is great, then the stadium, the club's history, it was enticing to come to Milan. And then Tomori was already here, I spoke with him before coming, and he spoke very highly of the club. It was a good opportunity for me to come and play here."
Loftus-Cheek continued:
"My teammates are brilliant. They are all fantastic, they have great talent. And obviously, the coaching staff is excellent too. Then there's the stadium and the fans: there's an incredible atmosphere when we play at San Siro. Even in away games, our fans make themselves heard, they give us all their support which is always very strong. It's really nice to play in these conditions. As soon as you put on the Milan shirt, for the club's history, for the many great players who have worn it, and for what this club has won, you just want to make Milan proud", as relayed from Milan News.
