Il Corriere dello Sport took stock of the situation regarding Francesco Camarda's contract with Milan. The future of the young striker, who turned 16 two days ago, is yet to be written.

According to the Italian newspaper there are ongoing negotiations to find the right solution which should please everyone involved, both from a sporting and economic perspective. The talks have been ongoing for months between the parties.

The Rossoneri managers value their starlet highly and have a very specific plan for him. In fact, they would prefer to sign a contract with him in the summer when the new season starts to make his deal run until June 30, 2027. If he were to sign now on a professional contract, it would run until 2026 instead.

That is an interesting strategy to protect the club's interests. Milan, however, must be careful because some clubs are keeping an eye on the situation.

The failure of Camarda to sign the renewal with Milan has led several clubs to make inquiries, in fact. His entourage has received calls from Inter, Juventus, but also from Borussia Dortmund and various English teams. As of today, however, Camarda could not play in the Premier League. According to FIFA rules, after Brexit, English clubs could not register non-UK minors.

So, in case, Camarda would eventually have to wait another two years to play in the Premier League. Certainly, as highlighted by the Corriere dello Sport, there are 'workarounds', such as buying the player and loaning him out for two years to a satellite club. But it doesn't seem to be the best option for a young player's development.

It should be noted, though, that Francesco Camarda is very attached to Milan; he is a Rossoneri fan and his willingness to stay with his childhood club could count as a crucial factor in favour of the Rossoneri.
