Mikkel Beck, agent of Simon Kjaer, announces in an interview with 'Bold' that at the end of the season the Danish defender will leave Milan:
"The contract expires this summer, then Simon will leave Milan. There is no drama about this. It's a natural goodbye to a club where Simon has been playing for more than four years, at a time that seems right. Many years ago Simon told me that one day he would like to play for Milan and that dream came true in the most beautiful way. Indeed, Milan has become the club where Simon has played the most matches."
What will the future be like for Simon Kjaer?
"He will play in the European cup this summer as captain of Denmark and then he will be without a club. Actually, his idea is to focus on the European Championship and then decide where to continue his career. So, I don't expect any news about Simon in the short term."
On Simon Kjaer's experience at Milan, Beck said:
"When Simon arrived at Milan, the club was below mid-table in Serie A. His dream was to help bring the club back to where it belongs, at the top of Italian football, and he managed to win a championship and stabilise in the top positions every year since his arrival. And with him in the team, Milan reached the top of Europe, where last season Milan reached the Champions League semifinals."
He added:
"I can confirm that there has been interest from other big clubs this winter, as always happens for a player with the qualities and international reputation of Simon, but Simon was only interested in playing the season at Milan. It gave him many beautiful matches since Christmas, when he returned from an injury, and in those months he showed his class as a player with many great performances in the club's best period of the season."
On Simon Kjaer's physical condition:
"At the moment Simon is injured, but he will probably be ready to help his club finish the season well and prepare for the European Championship."
