Approach to the game:
"We made mistakes at the start of the game, then the team played with the right quality, but many times the final shot and pass didn't provide good coverage. It would have been nice to win considering the situation we're experiencing, unfortunately, we conceded goals in situations where we should have done better."
Too many goals conceded... Pioli answered:
"In the defensive phase, we lacked in situations where we weren't in bad positions, but the final movement of our opponents made it more difficult for us."
Lack of composure...
"It was a tough game, mentally Genoa was better off than us, they were calmer and freer, we had a great desire to react and wanted a different result."
Pioli added:
"We need to prepare well, the second place is not yet secure and we need to gather as many points as possible to finish this season well. It's obvious that falling behind complicates everything, we created a lot and when you score 3 goals, you should win the games."
